Each year, the festive season invites us to pause.
To slow down.
To step back and look at the path travelled, and to open a new space for the year ahead.
We invite you to live this special moment in South India, on the land where Ashtanga Yoga was born.
For twelve days, we will alternate practice, cultural discovery, time for rest and moments of sharing, to approach the new year in a spirit of simplicity, presence and openness.
Far from the usual bustle of the holidays, this stay is an invitation to return to the essential: the practice, the encounter and the journey.

The spirit of the seminar
A pause to end one year and begin the next differently
The end-of-year holidays are often associated with bustle, family obligations and a hectic pace.
This stay offers another way to live this period.
- Take time for yourself.
- Return to a simpler rhythm.
- Practise daily.
- Discover a fascinating culture.
- Share with other practitioners.
- Enter the new year with more clarity, stability and energy.
This special time often provides an opportunity to look afresh at your personal path and your practice.
The meaning of the journey
Returning to the source, on the land of Ashtanga Yoga
India holds a unique place in the history of yoga.
It is on this land that the traditions which still inspire millions of practitioners around the world were born.
Choosing India to celebrate the end of one year and the beginning of another is not insignificant.
The temples, the landscapes, the encounters and the pace of life naturally invite us to slow down and observe.
The journey then becomes an opportunity to return to the essential, to step back from daily life and to nourish your practice in its original cultural context.
This immersion often offers a deeper understanding of the tradition than study alone can provide.
The venue
An immersion in the heart of South India
The stay takes place in a region where spiritual traditions, Tamil culture and Indian hospitality remain deeply alive.
Between temples, villages, markets and tropical landscapes, the environment offers an authentic immersion in the daily life of southern India.
Each day becomes an opportunity for discovery and wonder.

The shala
Classes take place in a room suited to the practice of Ashtanga Yoga.
The space lets everyone practise in good conditions while keeping a simple, warm atmosphere conducive to study.
The surroundings
South India offers a particularly inspiring setting:
- ancient temples;
- traditional architecture;
- colourful markets;
- local crafts;
- Indian cuisine;
- beaches and coastal landscapes.
This cultural richness naturally accompanies the practice and helps make the stay a complete experience.
The practice of Ashtanga Yoga
A daily practice adapted to everyone
Practice is the heart of the stay.
Each participant is supported according to their level, experience and abilities.
The sessions allow you to gradually deepen:
Beginners discover the foundations of Ashtanga Yoga while more advanced practitioners continue their deepening, both with individualised support.
As in the Institute’s classes, the emphasis is on personal progress rather than performance.

A seminar means moving your practice.
Away from the everyday, the practice deepens: Mysore in the morning, study and transmission the rest of the time, in the heart of a living culture — at the source of Ashtanga in India or in the light of Greece. You don't go as a tourist: you let yourself be transformed, one breath after another, guided. Ready to try the experience? We'll help you prepare your departure.
The course of the stay
A balance between practice, discovery and rest
The mornings are devoted to the practice of Ashtanga Yoga.
The afternoons allow you to discover the region, visit various cultural sites or enjoy moments of rest.
This alternation fosters the integration of the teachings while leaving everyone the space to fully live their travel experience.
The pace of the stay is designed to allow a deep immersion without haste.
An end of year under the sign of sharing
Beyond the practice, this stay is also a human adventure.
The meals, the visits, the discussions and the shared discoveries naturally create bonds between the participants.
Spending the end-of-year holidays together gives this experience a special dimension.
The passage into the new year becomes a simple and authentic celebration, shared with people gathered around a common interest in yoga, travel and discovery.
These moments of conviviality are an integral part of the spirit of the stay.
