Whether you are discovering Ashtanga Yoga, wish to resume a practice after a break or deepen certain aspects of the method, this individual time makes it possible to build tailor-made teaching according to your needs, your goals and your experience.

Classes are given exclusively by appointment.

Personalised support

Every practitioner has their own history, body, learning pace and needs.

The private class allows time to observe, understand and accompany this uniqueness.

The aim is not simply to learn postures but to build a coherent, lasting practice adapted to your reality.

This format lets you move forward at your own pace, with constant attention to the quality of movement, breathing and understanding of the method.

The postures studied

A practice adapted to your needs

The content of the class is entirely personalised.

Depending on your experience and goals, we can work on:

  • the foundations of Ashtanga Yoga;
  • the First Series (Yoga Cikitsā);
  • certain specific postures;
  • the sun salutations;
  • the transitions (Vinyāsa);
  • breathing work;
  • the adaptations needed in case of physical limitations.

Each session is built according to your development and your needs of the moment.

The foundations of the practice

The breath (Ujjāyī)

Breathing work holds a central place in the teaching.

The private class allows a precise observation of the quality of the breath and an adaptation of the exercises to your level of practice.

The energetic locks (Bandha)

Depending on your experience, we will gradually explore:

  • Mūla Bandha;
  • Uḍḍiyāna Bandha;
  • their role in the stability and protection of the body.

The individual time allows these notions to be approached with more precision.

The gaze (Dṛṣṭi)

The Dṛṣṭi, or direction of the gaze, contributes to the quality of concentration and presence.

Each posture becomes an opportunity to refine attention and inner stability.

The movement (Vinyāsa)

We will study the relationship between breath and movement in order to gradually develop a fluid and natural rhythm of practice.

The Institute’s approach

Individual teaching makes it possible to deepen what lies at the heart of the Institute’s approach:

  • experience and understanding of the body.

Yoga always begins with bodily experience. To have a body is to feel it, to perceive, to experience the conscious sensation of having a body, to open one’s senses — an essential prerequisite for the postural practice of yoga.

Several decades of teaching experience and a deep knowledge of anatomy make it possible to offer precise advice, adapted to each practitioner.

The class thus becomes a genuine space for study and self-understanding.

What you will develop

Private classes gradually develop:

  • a better knowledge of your body;
  • a more conscious breath;
  • a practice adapted to your needs;
  • more confidence in your progress;
  • a better understanding of the method;
  • greater autonomy;
  • a lasting practice that respects your abilities.

Towards a meditation in movement

As in group practice, the work rests on the gradual integration of the breath, the gaze and the Bandha.

As these elements harmonise, the practice becomes more fluid and more stable.

The practitioner gradually discovers a quality of presence that transforms the execution of the postures into a true meditation in movement.

The private class makes it possible to explore this dimension with more time and attention.
