What our practitioners say
Six voices of practitioners and teachers sharing, in their own way, what the Institute has brought them.
A place where the intelligence of the heart meets the rigour of thought.
You will discover a part of yourself you have never known.
I have never encountered teaching that is so precise and so attentive to each individual body, maintained consistently over so many years. I know only one teacher like him — that is rare, and it is what has kept me here for 22 years.
An openness and a faithfulness to the heart of the tradition — not to its appearances. A transformation, a path towards the self, carried by Jean-Claude's guidance.
A rock. The institute helps us find and accept ourselves — and that transmission, Jean-Claude's, is something you find nowhere else.
A haven of peace. A cocoon of gentleness, kindness and generosity, where you receive a gift of knowledge far beyond the physical practice: the adjustment of postures, the care for the body, the welcoming of emotions.
Things fell into place for me at this institute. A knowledge that makes yoga far more than a practice: a relationship with the world, with the knowledge of oneself and of the universe.
Clear, simple, no surprises.

The word of the day.
Before you come.
Honest answers to the questions that come back — including the ones you might not always dare to ask.
Do I need any prior experience to join a class?
No, none at all. The beginners' class is designed to start Ashtanga from scratch: we build the foundations of the first series, the ujjayi breath and the rhythm, step by step.
How does a first class unfold?
You're welcomed before we begin and walked through the flow, then you practise at your own pace. Even in a group, you receive individual adjustments.
What should I bring?
Comfortable clothing, water and, ideally, your own mat. Arrive a few minutes early and practise on a light stomach (2 to 3 hours after a meal).
Can I join if I already practise elsewhere?
Yes. What matters is your consistency: the teacher tailors the corrections to your practice and your body.
Practice is built day after day.
Ashtanga is transmitted through regularity: you come, roll out your mat, progress at your own pace, each posture adjusted individually — even in a group class. Beginner or experienced, there is a place for you.
