Patañjali

is the compiler of the “science of Yoga” known as the  « Yogasūtra ». He is considered to be an incarnation of the divine serpent Ananta, whose name means “the one without end”, and that is another form of Ādiśeşa or Ādināga (the lower part of his body being that of a snake).
