Regardless of the series practiced, there are sun salutations (Sūryanamaskāra A & B सूर्य नमस्कार) at the beginning and closing postures at the end.

1. The First Series or Yoga Ćikitṣa चिकित्सा, a Sanskrit term meaning medicine, treatment, or care.
It generally takes several years of dedicated training to develop the flexibility and endurance necessary for the continuous practice of this first series, which primarily aims to rebalance the body in order to purify it and protect it against illness.
During the practice of Aṣṭāṅgayoga, the eyes are constantly open. The postures are always linked together by the rhythmic movements (Vinyasa).
This practice of the first series will give you more confidence in yourself and in life.

The second series, or Nāḍī Śodhana नाडी शोधन :
This is the realization of “Nāḍī Śodhana,” or the purification of the subtle channels, that is, the nervous system.
It consists of a group of 40 postures: backbends, counterbalanced by a group of more “advanced” forward bends.

The Third Series “Sthira Bhaga” स्थिर भाग : It is the balance between the forces of Earth and Heaven Only depending on the level of the course participants
This easy series, accessible to regular practitioners, defies the laws of gravity.
It increases the presence of internal energy and brings inner peace, strength, and joy. When the subtle energy currents in the body are no longer obstructed, the ultimate strength of the human being appears—a spiritual energy, the true nature of humankind.

” Where there is love, there is compassion, with which intelligence follows.”
Jiddu Krishnamurti

“ The yogini fixing his visual energy between the two eyebrows,
equalizing inhalations and exhalations that run inside the nose, master of his sensitive , mental and intellectual faculties,
the wise tend to the issue, its ultimate purpose, free of desire,
fear and anger; he is freed forever. “
