a prayer ritual of worship of Aryan origin, which replaced the Vedic sacrifice (Yajna). The pūjā, follows a consolidated workflow and requires ingredients (flowers, fruits, food, etc.). It uses consecrated water, reciting the formula “Om pavitra, pavitra” “Om, be pure”, then follows the singing of the “gāyatrī”.
