For about two centuries, <strong>Indo-Greek kingdoms<\/strong> were known, they were essentially territories conquered by <strong>Alexander the Great.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-9500\" src=\"https:\/\/yoga-ashtanga.net\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2018\/11\/image.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"205\" height=\"246\"><\/p>\n<p>Ancient Greece and India have many affinities. It was so hot that the fire itself could not contain it, so he poured it into the <strong>Gang\u0101<\/strong> (the celestial river). As a result, <strong>Agni<\/strong> and <strong>Gang\u0101<\/strong> are sometimes considered as <strong>Skanda \/ K\u0101rttikeya&#8217;s<\/strong> parents. <strong>Gang\u0101<\/strong> being not very maternal, <strong>K\u0101rttikeya<\/strong> is said to have had many nannies, sometimes the seven<strong> M\u0101trik\u0101<\/strong> *, sometimes the seven <strong>Krittik\u0101<\/strong>, personifications of the constellation of the Pleiade, to which he owes his name <strong>K\u0101rttikeya.<\/strong> Because of the large number of his nurses he is sometimes represented with six heads to suckle each of them. In addition, Karttikeya * is systematically born extra-uterine, either on the breast of Gang\u0101 or on the peak of six or seven different mountains (Skanda means &#8220;jet of sperm&#8221;, Sanskrit, skand, &#8220;to transmit&#8221;).<\/p>\n<p><strong>* K\u0101rttikeya<\/strong> : According to <strong>Greek mythology, &#8220;the Pleiades&#8221;<\/strong> <strong>&#8220;the seven Krittik\u0101&#8221;<\/strong> are seven sisters, daughters of the <strong>Titan Atlas<\/strong> and <strong>Pl\u00e9ion\u00e9<\/strong> (an oceanic nymph aquatic but not marine).<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>1. Maia <\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>2. Alcyone <\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>3. Asterope <\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>4. Celaeno (or Selena) <\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>5. Electra, <\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>6. Taygete <\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>7.
