in India there is the classical Yoga or  Râja-yoga which is part of the Yoga Korunta (Aṣṭāṅgayoga)  and which refers to Yogasūtra Patañjali. Haṭhayoga is a later form of Yoga developed by Nātha or Siddha-yogi(s) around the twelfth century. The term Haṭhayoga means the “Yoga of force or violence”, considered a being a express way, in search of postural body perfection as a gateway to spiritual openness.
