‘a Brahmin (brāhmaṇa), the word means linked to the sacred, it’s a member of one of the four castes (in Sanskrit Varna, meaning ‘color’ ). Brahmins are officiants, priests, schoolmasters, teachers and legislators. Brahmin is derived from the name of the God Brahmā, the name of the priests serving in the Hindu temples and stemming from the caste of the same name, they must carry out the most complex rituals of purity.
